From Autopilot to AWARE

How many of you walk through your daily routine with your brain preoccupied with something else?  You might go through the bank drive-up, buy groceries for your family, drop off some library books, get gas, and rent a movie without ever noticing the people that you walked by and maybe even talked to.  It’s so easy to put your body on autopilot while your brain is making your next big “to-do list”.  As a small group of Stonecroft home office staff embark on their AWARE journey, I’ll be checking in to share my insights.  Can’t wait to hear from you too!

The book list in the back of the book is a great tool for preparation for leading this study. I encourage anyone who plans to lead AWARE to read and prepare before you do so. This is not the Stonecroft Bible Study that tells you every word to say. Another book that is not on the list that I have found quite helpful is George Barna’s “Think Like Jesus”.

I surely appreciate your prayers as I embark on a venture to present AWARE to a group of MOPS Leaders, as I work with them as a mentor.

  3. Great point Amy! Thanks for the notice and suggestion.

Marie, we’ll be praying for your MOPS group!

    Love, Marsha

    Hi Marsha
    –first timer here…

Your introduction “From Autopilot to AWARE” hits home in my heart! As I search for more TIME in my daily life, often I feel I am in autopilot mode… My “to-do list” is never complete. Then, I’m reminded to start with prayer, asking for complete focus and a clear head with God’s Wisdom, understanding that our witness along the way is what is important. Learning to be AWARE will encourage me and others that join in on your BLOG and in the AWARE studies. Thank you for sharing.

Love in Christ, Patti a/k/a Florida Granny

August 29th is the start of the AWARE program at my church. To encourage and disciple other women to plant nieghborhood bible studies. Please pray for the women and myself that God has chosen to attend.
    Blessings,

  6. You’re welcome Patti! We’re all in this together. Prayer is the unshakable foundation for focusing on that daily witness that everyone has for the Lord. And Judy, I’m so excited for your church! I can’t wait to share with the rest of the home office staff that more and more people are catching the vision for their neighborhoods. Check back in and let us know how things progres!
